Oh my… It feels like ages that I last created an outfit post for the blog and gosh, how I missed it! Creating these photos and thinking out of the box with my poses has been so much fun! Of course, a good reason to shoot an editorial always makes creating more fun, and this shoot definitely had a good reason. You may already know that, ever since my participation at Genaaid, my focus has been more on sustainable fashion, beauty, and things I truly love. That is why I feel super excited and honored to be one of the first to introduce to you Alix & Baxter. The new sustainable sister of one of my all time favorite Dutch bag brands Smaak Amsterdam (if you don’t believe me, see my collection of the brand in these posts).
Smaak Amsterdam is known for its sophisticated designs and use of colors. Their bags are always super classic and practical yet a timeless fashion item. Their new sister Alix & Baxter is not far from away from these values, but there is only one big difference: all the bags are made out of vegan leather. Honestly, when I had this bag in my hands I couldn’t believe it wasn’t leather. The quality is so good and it feels like such a strong and high-end bag. A reason to love it even more.
The name is pretty fun for me too. Their website says: Alix is a fictional person, Living in Amsterdam.. New York.. Paris.. Alix is living the dream and only with one goal: making the world more beautiful. Baxter, on the other hand, is a lawyer, accountant, investor… and makes Alix’s dream come true. This is exactly the look of the bags; business meets fashion. That is also what I tried to create with this look carrying around the Denver in Pumpkin. I wore it with a classic pantalon (something I am obsessed with lately) and an oversized white blouse. The Gucci slippers give the fashionable and fun touch to a classic look like this.
So, that is my introduction of this new sustainable brand which I truly love. Let me know what you think of the brand, if you like to shop sustainable as well, and if I should post looks more often again – cause I kind of missed it ;-). See you soon lovers! Xx
