Wow. Just wow. I almost can’t believe another year has passed by. 2018 has been a year of many things. From one of the greatest moments in my life, to some personal struggles which I rather forget. I have to say, I am happy it is over. Not because it was a bad year, but just because I cannot wait for 2019 to start!
Where to begin.. Besides working on Floortjeloves, I also started my PR agency FloorPR last April. Here I offer any kind of PR and maketing related services. From Webdevelopment to event organization and social media management. After years of blogging – I mean, I have been here since 2011 – I wanted to do something more. Since this is still related to my job as an influencer – but with a little more brains I would say – I am more than proud for this achievement in starting my next business.
But as being a creative bee, I wanted to do more. I think it hasn’t been unnoticed that I started my own jewelry label in August as well. Je Suis Flore is my youngest baby which I am so proud of and which I hope to grow even more this coming year. I have great plans for it and I hope we will achieve them with the small team I created this year, but also with your support!
In my personal life it has been a year of many changes as well. I broke up a toxic relationship which I was in for 1,5 years. Best decision of this year I can say, because how much better I felt after it! From living under a mountain for too long, to doing the most amazing thing ever: participating in a tv-show. It felt like ever since I broke up this relationship, things really took off. FloorPR started to roll, Je Suis Flore was born, I got an office and a new team member and did the tv-show which is probably my greatest achievement of this year. Not only because it was a hell of an experience, but also because I grew as a person after the things I saw and experienced.
For the Dutchies who may have seen it, may understand what I am saying here. Because Genaaid (literally translated as fucked or sewed, just how you see it) was not only an eye-opener for myself, but also for everyone who watched it if I can believe the comments. Next to that, I made great friendships after these two weeks in Myanmar whom I hope to have around me for the rest of my life.
2018 has also been a year of great travels. Besides the life-changing experience in Myanmar, I also had my very first press trips to Cologne, Krakow, Paris and Izmir. But I also went skiing in Austria, hiking in Switzerland and sunbathing in France and Italy. Yes, life has treated me well this year and I cannot wait what 2019 will bring for adventures!
All I can say is that I hope you will have a spectacular start of the new year and will make a memorable night tonight. See you in 2019!
