As you may have seen in this vlog, this post or on my social media, I have been to Krakow together with Bonprix for less than 48 hours. I have to admit, I never heard of the city before and now it seems to pop up everywhere. Do you know that feeling? Because apparently, the city is quite populair lately. So time to share my photos and experiences of the city, so you might consider a citytrip to Krakow as well!
In case you are considering a trip to this beautiful city, than you must read on! I promise, I only want to make you book a trip right away. Because super photogenic city has a lot to offer. Of course there is a lot of history to find about WW2 and the Jewish religion, which I unfortunately didn’t had the time for to discover. But even though I didn’t, you feel it everywhere. The streets are old, but so well decorated with art that it feels like walking through a museum.
This is the place where the shoot we had with Bonprix was taken. You can check the results of the shoot here if you like :-). Can’t say it in any other words, but this must be one of the most photogenic places I have ever been. It was around the Jewish area, so super inspiring and a lot of culture. It reminded me of Berlin somehow, probably because of all the talented street art. This area was also full of cute little shops and boutiques. I wish I had more time to discover it! In the evening, there are some great restaurants around here as well, so perfect for the hungry people!
The legent of Krakow is the Dragon of Smok Wawelski. Long before Krakow was even a village, the dragonSmok Wawelski was living underneath the hill Wewel, where he got his name from. The legent goes that he was unbeatable, until a brave shoemaker’s apprentice made a list to bead the dragon. I wish we had time to discover the castle of Wawel to get to know the full story, but at least we got to see some of the art that is made in the city to remember the dragon.
More photos of the Jewish area. These are made on the square with all the lovely restaurants and terraces to enjoy a drink in the sun. There are tour guides in this area everywhere! You can even hop on a golf car to discover the city with a personal guide. How cool is that?!
In case I not convinced you to book a trip yet, I think you will after seeing the photos above and underneath. Isn’t it just a charming city to wonder around and discover? I think so! At last, Poland is also super affordable. So instead of spending a lot of money on a girls night out in the famous cities, Krakow is a better option!
