emotions, model, black and white photos, shoot

Today I am extremely proud and excited to share this new set of images, shot by the super talented Igrien from The Avantguardian. Right before Christmas, Igrien contacted me if I was interested to shoot with her on second Christmas day (yes, we have this in Holland). Of course I would! I still really like to do some modeling work now and then, even though I am out of that business for a year now. Well, not totally out as I still have some partners I work with and shoot some campaigns for. But going abroad and living in a model house like I did in Istanbul back in 2014 is just not my thing. Not to mention it was one of the best experiences ever which I am so grateful for!

But back to this shoot. As I said, I still really like working with different photographers and shoot something we can be proud of. Igrien organized a really fun day with different models and bloggers, to just shoot and have some fun. She is really one of the sweetest persons I met in the industry and it was such a pleasure working with her as she’s so talented! And oh, her camera and lesnes collection was just to die for haha. If you’re curious about how she experienced the day, than make sure to check out her blog and read the post here as well!

Now when the photos are turned into black and white, I really think they show off different emotions. My favorite is definitely the first one since it was a real smile, captured in an unexpected shot. I love photos like these, cause they are usually the best. The other photos are more mysterious, each with their own emotion. I think you can really say they all have something in common, yet they’re all so different. You don’t really know the girl in the picture, or do you? Is she sad, loving or thinking? Igrien just really know how to take photos the right way. The way you keep looking at it as you see too many emotions and possibilities. What do you think about this shoot and which emotions do you get by seeing it? Would love to hear your thoughts and which shot is your favorite!
