Maybe it’s easy talking for me, cause I have the best job I can imagine, but this also doesn’t come right away. Even I have some ups and downs when it comes to my work and that’s why it is so important to fall in love with your job again and again and again. Especially since we’re most of the time busy with our work, it is so important to do what you love and what makes you happy. I often get the question if I am a fulltime blogger. Well, let’s say I am almost there. It’s taking a lot of work (and maybe even some patients) but I still believe I am getting there one day. Now, I still combine blogging with some other jobs here and there, which makes it a perfect combination for me.
But not everybody is or want to be a full time blogger. I have to admit it takes a lot of willpower to work for yourself. It’s tempting to wake up at 10am every day, but eventually this will not bring you any further. Besides that, if you do something you love, it is not a problem to wake up early at all. I have to say, I am not a 9 to 5 worker, it will drive me crazy. But some people think the same about how I live, with work that never stops. I honestly believe that if you love your job it will bring you much further than when you’re living like an automatic pilot.
Now coming to what this post is about, because I think we will all struggle with this at some point in our lives: losing our passion for our jobs. We have to avoid the routine and make something special out of every working day. Starting with how important it is to have an inspiring working place. This has to be your temple, a place where you like to spend your time. Secondly, plan things and make a schedule. Do the things you dislike in the morning and end the day with something that makes you happy. We always remember the last things we do or said, so if you end this with something positive you will forget about the dislikes. At last, do something during your working day what really makes you happy and inspires you. Wether it’s about getting dressed nicely or enjoying a super yummy (selfmade) lunch, these small things will get your through a working day and will make it more fun for you.
