You know that I often speak about a high speed train that we live on and that I sometimes seriously have no idea why the time is passing by so fast. I think we all have these moments when we want to stop it for some time, even just to enjoy what’s going on. Instead of being able to do that, we are running from one place to another to make the most out of each day. But is this the right way? Of course, sometimes we don’t have a choice but I think especially now, when the summer holidays are coming so close for everybody, we should definitely enjoy the ‘moment’ more.
Now when saying this, I always think about relaxing and chilling when hearing the word ‘summer’, while it is actually full of things. Because after work (let’s say school is over for now), we run to our friends to enjoy the last sunny hours of the day together. And while sipping on a rosé on a terrace on the boulevard or in the city, we are actually stressing out in our mind since we know that we have to get back to work and reality.
To don’t have this little freak-out moment, I make sure I plan everything and do well thought things, so I can enjoy the spontaneous ones. As being a own boss you can plan your own hours, but this doesn’t mean waking up at 11am. I always set my alarm at 8 o’clock or earlier, to get ready for a day full of work, meetings, events and more work. And by the end of the day, when I have done all my responsibilities, I can finally enjoy my rosé with friends. So now the conclusion on how to make the most out of your time: enjoy the moment but don’t forget to plan! Make sure you have a to-do list for the next day and don’t make this too long so it would look depressing. Only do necessary things and the rest will come by itself.
