Lace-up, the trend du moment. I LOVE it! It’s sexy but not too much – if you don’t over do it of course. For a while it has been hard to get lace-up clothes, but thanks for celebrities such as the Kardashians and Gigi, we can finally get some cool items easily. Besides the lace-up body which I absolutely love, there are enough other variations to look after. I can imagine that some of you might find it hard, maybe even a little bit scary, to wear lace-up. Therefor I would say play with some different styles, like the lace-up back sweater which I am wearing today.

The number one rule while wearing lace-up is to never ever over do it. Don’t wear super short skirts with it, but go for a midi one or jeans. In this way you’ll keep it chic even tough you look super hot. My favorite way to wear a lace-up in the front is with a high waisted jeans (you’ll see this soon), but with a sweater like this I prefer a flared jeans. Just because I think it totally match the style. If you’re still not sure about an open back, you can try a nice top in a nude or contrasting color underneath it. But, make sure it matches the total look!

First I thought it was only a perfect style for going out and partying, but when I found out this look I changed my mind as it is so cool during a day in the city. Let’s say casual-chic with a sexy touch. My signature style. Especially in a look like this with some sneakers and sunnies, you’re sure to get the attention when walking around (and then there are also the people who ask if you’re not cold haha). Would you go for lace-up and how would you wear such an item? I would love to hear your ideas and maybe even tips! If you still haven’t found the right item you should definitely check out Yoins as they have a lot of styles! Hope you liked my tips and this look, and see you guys soon! Xo

A lace-up back is a surprising and sexy detail in an otherwise laid-back look – good combo! I agree that one shouldn’t go over the top with it, otherwise you’ll just end up looking tacky.

Love the top and sunglasses! So far I just have some pants that are lace-up in the back but I’d like a top too 🙂
