You know how high I hold my standards in sustainable fashion. Genaaid, the tv-show I participated in, is already a year ago, something I cannot believe. A good time to look back at the past year and see what I improved and what I can still do better. One of the things I always had high in my quality standards was high quality fashion. 100% wool instead of synthetic fibers. But in Genaaid I learned it goes further than that. It is not only about the material, but also about how it is produced and who made it. That is why I love brands with a big transparency, and Moda Kalon is one of those brands.
Moda Kalon is a luxury alpaca brand that creates their clothing and accessories under really good conditions. They make sure it is only natural sourced, which means their fur for example, is only from alpacas who died in a natural way. Next to that, the clothes are natural dyed or dyed in a way that doesn’t affect the environment. At last they make sure that the people who make the clothes in Peru have really good conditions to work and live in. As I have seen the opposite in Myanmar, this is just a brand to my heard.
Besides their great way of producing, the collection they make is also timeless. Really an investment for a lifetime you can say, such as a designer bag. Today I am sharing two looks with you in two different styles, but something I love both very much. From this beautiful taupe jacket, which is the softest jacket I have ever owned, and this funky bohemian sweater. Which one do you like most? Let me know in the comments!
Ps. If you are in Amsterdam this week, then make sure to visit their pop-up store in the Pijp! Head to their instagram for more details.. Hope to see you there!
