Personal Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle Blog

Hi folks, and welcome back! I know it has been a while since my last post. Life has been so busy that I couldn’t find the time – or a subject – to write about. I hope you all have a great start of fall tho and I am sincerely happy to see you back here with a different subject than usual. Something you may not know of me yet is that I am a sucker for interior. Actually, I spent more of my hours on looking for interior than looking for fashion. So what I actually want to share with you today is something that has been on my mind for longer: interior posts. And how to kick this off better than with the perfect wardrobe or ‘garderobekast’ as we call it in Dutch. Optimizing my closet space is basically my number one priority in my tiny house in Amsterdam. It is literally filled with stuff, so I thought, let’s tell you a little bit more of how I keep things organized.

One thing I have to admit: I am a hoarder. I can’t help it; it is a family thing. So since Marie Kondo is not for me, I have to find a way to optimize my space to store all my things. That is why I am always on the hunt for the perfect wardrobe. Upstairs I have a mini walk-in-closet, which is obviously a dream, but it hasn’t enough space for my collection of fashion. So finding cabinets that do the job or create build-ins are a must.

Build-ins VS Wardrobes

I was lucky enough to have two build-ins downstairs and a big corner build-in upstairs when I bought the house. These are a great way to storage all the junk (downstairs) and shoes and bags (upstairs) I collect. However, still not enough space for me. That is why I have two main cabinets in my house that collect other stuff such as clothes, underwear, and duvet covers – something we all have but never have space for. My perfect wardrobe should be built in height, so that is what I did in the hallway upstairs. I have seen great models at Karwei, such as a classic white one or a jade green one for a little bolder choice. Of course you could also go for a plain one and paint it in a color you like. I say, go for something that fits your home and needs, and reflects your style!

My tiny house in Amsterdam really reflects everything I love. Probably even more than the way I dress. That is why I am beyond excited to share a little glimpse of it with you. Let’s see cause if you like it I will share more of it in the future. Let me know in the comments! In the meantime, you can check other interior posts I did in the past here. See you soon! Xx
