We all know them, these stressful days at work, school or just our home situation. During these days, it’s normal if you feel like escaping to an uninhabited island, or the moon. Unfortunately this is often not the case. We have our responsibilities and have to deal will the stress. But there are some easy ways to recover from these days and feel brand new again. With these 5 tips I am sure every stress chicken will feel better.. So make sure to continue reading.
WORKOUT
Lately I have been going back to the gym and well.. it feels GOOD! I am not this natural sporty person. When I look at my boyfriend for example, who loves to work out and play different kinds of sports, well, I don’t. I have to force myself to get into a sporty rhythm, but once I am in there, I get addicted. It also really helps me to relieve some stress after a day of working, sitting behind my desk and ticking one email after another. So lately I stop working around 5 pm and go to the gym for 1 or 1,5 hour – depending on how I feel. After that I have the most satisfied feeling and can enjoy a free evening.
FRIENDS
When you plannend your evening free of work and school, you should invest in time with your friends. Meet up to cook dinner together (which often ends up to be cheaper than when you cook alone) or plan a real date night and go for wine and cheese. Skip heavy subjects and talk about flowers and bees. Sure you are going to feel relieved after a good and fun conversation with the people you care about!
MOVIES
Watching something you like, no matter if it’s a movie, series or documentary, it will take you to another world for one or two hours, which is a perfect way to think about something else than what gives you stress. Make sure you have the time for it tho so you can 100% enjoy what you are watching. And don’t worry if you are not this type of person who likes to watch others, because a good book will have the same effect! And let’s admit, it’s better to read before sleeping that look at a HD-screen..
SPA
Plan a spa day with just you or you and your friends/boy-/girlfriend. This really is the best way to relax and get new energy. Enjoying a hot Turkish steam bath or go for a good Thai massage. It’s often not the cheapest way to relieve from the stress you are dealing with, but at least you are sure you relaxed and feel all flexibel again.
CREATE
At last my personal favorite which is creating. What really helps me to relax is to create something. No matter if it’s creating a delicious meal and enjoy it with my dearest ones after I finished, or just start crafting something; both make me feel relaxt and really gives a moment for myself to clear my mind. Just find something you like to do, something creative. The result doesn’t have to be wonderful all time (I mean, we all f*cked up a dinner once or twice..), the purpose is to relax and only think about what you’re making. And if it turns out to be good, than you’re lucky cause you feel double good.
Movies or TV shows work really well for me, or playing games. Sometimes even just deep breathing and looking at nature. You look gorgeous though, really love your outfit, it’s really pretty and you look so natural in this shoot.
I always go for a run when I’ve had a stressful day. It’s magic, and it makes me feel so good! I love to watch a movie as well, but it usually takes me a bit of time to really get into it after a stressful day 🙂
