Thursday, the day we decide what we are going to do during the weekend. Am I going to catch up with friends? Or do I go to the city? Maybe I will just stay in and watch some movies on Netflix? There are endless possibilities and they all sounds good. For me, it most of the time depends on the weather. When it is raining and I have a day off, I like to stay in for a little me time. But when the weather is beautiful and all the work is done, I like to go out and explore some new things. One of those weekends was two weeks ago when I went to Utrecht to visit my cousin. We both really like to be creative, to get inspired and to eat – a lot of – good food. One place that has it all was the Swan Market where we almost spend the whole Sunday.
The first Swan Market was held in Rotterdam 5 years ago. Now it became so populair that big cities like Dordrecht, Den Haag, Tilburg, Antwerp and, yes, Utrecht are having it as well. Almost every weekend you can visit the Swan Market in one of these beautiful cities. When we shot these photos it was the first time for me going there, but I really liked it. I always have this thing with markets abroad, I just get inspired by them. The fun thing was that with all the Indian bags, Chilean empanadas and dried fruits it almost felt like a market in a total other country. Really a place I recommend going to when you’re ever consider to visit Holland or one of those cities!
So after a lovely day at the market we were ready to start a new project, inspired by all that we saw. I am not going to tell you the details yet, but once we worked things out you will be the first one to know! At last, let’s say something about the perfect outfit when you go to a market for treasure hunting and eating food. First you want to be comfortable, but as a fashionista you want to stand of the crowd as well. For this occasion I was wearing a flared jeans from 7 For All Mankind and paired it with these super comfy Dune London sandals. Absolutely love the metal details in the heel! For a vintage add to this look, I wore it with this super cute grey sweater with lace sleeves which I recently got at Dresslink. You guys have to check this site out! Add a vintage military cap to finish up your look and your city market outfit is ready! Hope you enjoyed the post loves! Xx
