Mirror mirror on the wall, what is the best way to decorate you in my hall? It’s time for another interior post and this time it’s all about mirrors and what they can do for your home. For a while now, I was looking for the perfect mirror for in my living room. Something I was still missing. Recently I got my mirror via Barok Spiegels, which is an online store specialized in baroque mirrors. What makes the shop so special, is that they not produce in China and so on. Their mirrors are made in Italy with glass from the only mirror-factory in the Netherlands. Handcraft and authentic mirrors that last for years. That’s the reason why you should have a look at their site, now more about how to decorate it.
A mirror in your home can be challenging, as you have to find a spot that won’t make you look in it all time, but is also easy to access. Next to that, a mirror is not only a glass to look in. It elevates your home and make your room bigger. As you know by now, I have a small apartment in Amsterdam. That is why I am always looking for the right equipments to make the square meters I have look more.
I decoder the mirror behind my height adjustable table/desk so it looks right into the living room. This makes my room much bigger at first sight, which is an effect I love. I just let it stand on the ground so I can go anywhere with it. Because it is tall enough I still see myself full body (perfect for that Instagram photo) and totally fits my corner cabinet which you may know by now.
Because of all my white walls, I didn’t want a too hard contrast with the mirror frame, that is why I chose for a silver color. It looks fresh in my interior and really matches everything!
