Paris, the city of love, passion, fashion and great architecture. My love for Paris can only grow when I walk into a street like this one. The high beige buildings with big blue doors makes my heart just beat faster, and I believe I am not the only one. When I passed by this street I just had to take the shot, because the match with my outfit was just perfect..
But how important is the background for an outfit photo – or any blogger-photo – really? Well, pretty important I can tell. I am doing blogging and instagramming for over 7 years now and feel like that the ‘perfect’ shot is getting more and more important. Personally, I don’t like these over-photoshopped photos with pink skies and twinkling stars everywhere, but it is getting big on instagram right now. So shall we all follow the trend or stay true to yourself? I think the last one, because when you stay true to yourself every background can be the perfect blogger background.
For me a nice surrounding that matches with my outfit is important, but I am never looking for the perfect shot. Because, let’s be real, life isn’t always pink skies and twinkling stars, right? Let’s stay a little honest to ourselves and the rest of the world. Use natural lightning and just have some fun! The pressure of making that perfect shot is sometimes killing me, so I try to let it go and guess what? The photos are doing better than when I try too hard. Trends will come and go as well, so for me I will definitely skip this one.
What about you? Do you follow more people with the ‘perfect blogger background’, or do you stay true to yourself as well? Let me know in the comments!
I agree a backdrop can make or break the pickture. But we should not go over board to get it and get into legal trouble. I have seen people talk about sneaking on to private residences to get that “gram” NO don’t do it.
