A little less than two weeks and it is Valentine’s Day. Enough time to prepare for this special day! Thinking about a little gift for your lover (I say champagne and sexy lingerie) but also to get inspired with date outfit ideas. This year, I go classy in red. No matter if your date is someone new or someone you are dating with for a long time, making your outfit special is a true must. Read about my to-go date outfit tips below!
WEAR A RED BLAZER
Red is the color of love, so add a little in your outfit! Red is also a color that looks good on anybody, so you shouldn’t be afraid to play with the color. I wore a super casual outfit, but added a classic red tweed blazer to spice up the look. I love how this blazer reminds me of Chanel, classy as always!
SHOW WHAT YOU’VE GOT IN A SKINNY
Flared jeans are amazing and grandma trousers are even better, but men not always agree with this. Don’t go too fashionable, but look for the balance between sexy and comfortable; the skinny. It is less showing and daring than a skirt (not to forget about the uncomfortable moments with a skirt) and always good to wear. No stress on what to go for, the skinny jeans is the best choice.
RED LIPS
Not really practical when you are going for a dinner, but at least your have very kissable lips! Make sure you go for a long lasting red lipstick and not only search for a color that suits you (or your red blazer), but also one that makes your teeth look even whiter ;-).
THE OVERSIZED WHITE SHIRT
Don’t show too much when going on a date. Cropped tops are a real ‘no’ when you would ask me. The skinny is in this outfit already showing enough, so wear an oversized white shirt on top. It’s casual, it’s classy and men love the combination skinny-white shirt. So no more brain breakers on what to wear this Valentines.
WEAR A HEELED BOOTIE
Heels are uncomfortable, I think we all agree with that. But sneakers or flats are just too casual, so go for something in-between; the heeled bootie. Here I am wearing a classic cowboy boot, which is a true lifesaver. It fits almost every outfit and just gives that extra length to your legs. Read more about the cowboy boot and the reasons why you need one in this post!
