We all love to receive a tiny little compliment, right? I mean, it can’t be possible that you’re not smiling when someone says he or she likes how your hair looks today or that your dress is pretty. Exactly. Giving compliments should be something natural, something you do to make the other person happy because you like something about them. But why don’t we give them that often? Giving compliments can also be a little tricky, because it can feel like you want something from one another or you’re just afraid for the respond you’ll get. Maybe the person gets uncomfortable when you say something about their eyes. But should this be a reason to stop complementing each other?
Definitely no! Because to world gets so much more beautiful if we share some nice words, spread the love and make smiles on each other faces. One of the things I thought myself is to give a complement wherever I can. So if I see a guy rocking his new shirt, or a girl with beautiful hair, it makes me happy to tell them how awesome they look. Actually, I think we should give at least one compliment a day. No matter if it is to a total stranger, somewhere on the internet or to a friend or colleague. Making smiles is just the most beautiful thing there is right?
A day were I felt like giving complements was last Saturday, when I wore this absolutely stunning blue lace dress from Choies (can you believe it’s just $39,90?!) with the cutest silver brogues ever and my stunning new Céline sunnies. Why? Probably because the sun, my family and the total look made me so happy that I wanted to share it. Guess what? It works! Sometimes a small word can mean so much to someone else, so try it out and give those compliments to the people who deserve one! 🙂
