When it comes to human to human we are in a natural way nice to one another. Generally speaking, you can be happy for someone else who just archived his of her goal. But why can we be happy for someone else if we can be so dissatisfied to ourselves? Why made god – or whoever put us on earth – us this critical when it comes to self-acceptance? Especially in the world we live in nowadays, were everybody suffers with FOMO, I think we are way too hard for the personal me that’s inside us. I mean, when was the last time you gave yourself a pat on the shoulder because you did good at work or relation wise? No, instead of doing that we often think we might have done it better next time because of our insecurities. Time to end this right now.
Through the years of blogging I have already learned so much about myself. About my passion, but also what I am really good at: writing stories and sharing my love for fashion and anything else that’s around it. I can call myself one of those lucky girls that does all her best to make her business out of her blog. Yet, I sometimes feel so unsatisfied with the way things go. Why am I not at 100K yet? And while putting out my frustration to my friends they wake me up with things I already got. The 10K which we recently hit which I am actually more than proud of. Imagine putting all those people on a square, you can literally walk on their heads. So when we hit the 10K on Instagram I not only gave myself a pat on both my shoulders, but I also did a little dance of happiness while writing down new goals for the other six months that has left of 2016.
But now my point, I actually hoped for this 10K much earlier since my goal was before the end of 2015. When this didn’t succeed – even though we were already so close – I first was so disappointed in myself, when after that I realized this obsession doesn’t made me feel happy anymore. Why not being less hard for myself and will just see where it will end? Not that I say that you shouldn’t set goals, because I think you really should, but don’t be too hard on yourself. Be grateful for the things you already have, don’t be said about not having that bikini body this summer and just eat that pasta if it makes you happy (at least that’s what I am gonna do right now). Give yourself an inner hug now and then, because loving yourself is the most beautiful gift there is.

This post was so comforting to read, and so true! That jumpsuit is so gorgeous layered over the bell sleeve top, love this look!
Such a chic outfit, love how you’ve matched the colors: looks so good! Xx
Don’t be hard on yourself because you are doing an amazing job already! There are bloggers/instagrammers who gain followers in other ways and you are doing it by just being yourself so kudos to that!
I know exactly what you mean! I used to be so upset with not getting a lot of followers/views/comments/whatever, but now I’m just doing things because I actually enjoy them and not putting pressure on myself 🙂
First of all, you look absolutely stunning and so original in this outfit! Secondly, congratulations to you on hitting 10K, in our business those kind of victories do deserve a little happy dance! And finally, you are more than the number and you know that you’re much more worth than 10 K or 100 K or whatever. Setting goals yes, giving yourself a pat on the shoulder yes, but to only relate to yourself and your business in matter of numbers, a big no! 🙂
[ Smiles ] Elegant-looking!
