This year has been crazy. It feels like, especially since I live in Amsterdam, the time is going 10 times faster. Wake up, work, go here, eat there, seeing friends, sleep and repeat. I feel like I needed to do it all. Do as much as I could, but I ended up with even more work by the end of the day, just because I couldn’t finish all these things. It is just t o o much. One of my new year’s resolutions is to stop doing it all. Be more selective in what to do and what to miss. In other words; fight FOMO.
I don’t know wether it’s Amsterdam or just living in a city, but everybody knows about FOMO here (in case you missed the whole thing; it means Fear Of Missing Out). We are all so afraid of missing something, that we keep on going. Running around in our suits and heels, doing as many projects as we can and having a wide social life next to work or school. For 2017, I want to go to and work on the things I only really love or like. Because, if you just do a few things you really like, you can give a 100%. That sounds much better than doing hundred things for 50% right?
So while I am running around on my stiletto heels and in my boyfriend jeans (loving the patches!) and a comfy sweater– both from Comma – I try to finish the last campaigns before the end of 2016. To start the new year clean. Set new goals, work my ass off to make them come true, but without doing it all.. Hope you have a wonderful day folks! Xo
