As a kid, my mom loved to dress me in an all white outfit. Stupid thing actually, because by the end of the day it was never still white. Yet, she still did put these white clothes on me like they have never been dirty before. In other words, I think this is where my love for winter white outfits come from, because even in winter she taught me how you can rock the color of snow, marshmallows and toothpaste.
Without us noticing, we do a lot of things like how our parents (or anyone else who raised you as a child) do it. You like the same things, pick the same items, share the same love for a particular dish and so on. It’s fun actually that, even though we grow up and get independent, we are still so like to the ones we love from the moment we were born. Sometimes even like little copies. Of course there are many things we think we do better and know better – and well, we actually do know some things better – but when it comes there, the meaning of the people who have been close to you for your whole life is so important.
I am more than grateful and blessed for the relationship I have with my parents and brother and that we are such a close family. Especially since I know how it could be different. In this post I don’t want to tell you how to rock a white on white outfit this season (because I think the pictures show that already), I want to tell you how important it is to feel grateful to anyone who raised you and made you until who you are now today. Hearing stories about having a bad relationship with parents always makes me so sad, because believe me when I say it’s the most wonderful thing in this world. Especially if you see how much we are alike them. Than you can really count your blessings.
Great outfit, I love the red boots! My mom used to dress me in the funniest prints when I was little, but I guess you’re right because I still love prints (though way different than the ones I wore as a kid).
Oh yes, you’re quite right about this matter! No matter are the feat. good or “bad” I can def. recognise my parents in some of my actions, likes, behaviours, etc.
The way and place you’re brought up in have a huge impact in which kind of person you’ll grow up to be.
You’re such a natural beauty and your inner beauty shines through on these photos. 🙂
First of all, you look gorgeous. I love the prints on your pants. Second, I can relate to growing up like our parents. I’ve become a bit of a neat freak like my mom and would often be pissed if my husband keeps messing up our room. lol
